First of all, not sure if you guys noticed yet, but a new Founder has been chosen! So everyone, please greet our new founder...
Congratulations for your promotion, Ikechi1!
The founder would normally do these type of announcements, but Ikechi1 is a man of few words, so we'll let it go for now.
Now, with this change, we must also bid farewell to our old Founder, MorriganFearn, who will back down from the active Hetalia fandom and the moderation of Historical-Hetalia We wish you the best, Morrigan!

We also have some news regarding our co-founder recruitment!

So please greet with a round of applause our new co-founders:
Congratulations, and welcome to our ranks!
Here are a few words from our new moderators:

Hello everyone,
I’m one of your new moderators, Hetaliadutch from The Netherlands. My passions are history, geography and languages. For any further info, you only have to ask.

Hi, I am from Norway/Sweden and I currently study Art History in Uppsala. As the last sentence suggests, I like art and history. My favourite war is the Great Northern War, I am semi-addicted to chocolate, and my dream is to unite the Scandinavian countries (again).

Hi all! I'm from Australia, the country where we do not ride kangaroos as private transportation.
I love art, history and social sciences... and Fuji apples.
Glad to be of service! Though of course, you'll probably all end up doing me a service with all your historical genius!
Also, you can talk to me in Chinese. But I might have some dodgy vocabulary
rowenaphantomhive
Hi, I'm Rowena. I'm an American teenager who likes cheese, coffee, and the Cold War. As a moderator of this group, I am one step closer to my dreams of world domination Thank you all for helping to further this agenda.

I meant to post this earlier but couldn't find the time to do it Fortunately, now we have a team that gets things done MUCH FASTER! All those mountains of unrevised submissions we had at our group's inbox are now GONE! (well, almost gone)
We are so glad to have these guys in our team now. I mean, so far they have done a great job! I also feel like we are more international now, which is very cool... I mean, we have people from Nigeria (Ikechi1), Mexico (me), Netherlands, Norway/Sweden, Australia, and the USA
Anyway! We'll hopefully be able to be more active not only on the submission review part, but also in hosting events or something of the sort So please stay tuned to further updates!
Easter art exchange
Hello all historical hetalia fans!
It's been a while since you last heard from us, since this group hasn't been overly active lately. However, we are by no means dead!
Us admins here at Historical-Hetalia had an idea for a "Secret easter" event - like a Secret Santa, just during a different season. Because art exchanges can be fun to do during other parts of the year as well :D. We would like to know weather you like this idea or not. If enough people show interest, we'll go ahead with it. So please comment on this journal :D
What do you think? Would you be interested in participating in the "Secret easter exchange"?
Thank you very much, a
Winners of the Myths and Legends Theme contest
I apologize for the delay regarding this, it's unfair to the winners especially. So to note, we did not have many entrees that were in the visual medium. But that's fine, we as a group are happy that people submitted entries so enlighten us on other aspects of history. We thank you all for making the world a bigger place for everyone.
Let us state the first and second place winners of this contest.

Hetalia Contest: Myths and Legends Theme
Greetings all you fans of Hetalia and history. I hope everyone had a great new year, and in order to break in 2015 (and all the 2005 content which is now considered history) we of Historical-Hetalia would like to host a contest this January. This time the theme will be mythology. A lot a countries history is in fact tied to how they saw the world, reflected in the many fantastical creatures they came up with. You can also feature people of legend that are important to a country's history, for example the Legend of Romulus and Remus for the Roman Empire, or Robin Hood for england.
So here are the guidelines.

Hello everyone!
It's been a really long time since we last updated, hasn't it?
Well, here we are, yet again having trouble with inactive moderators which is causing several expired submissions to pile up in our inbox. In order to fix this problem, we will be having a few changes behind the scenes. One of those changes is the Founder position. MorriganFearn (https://www.deviantart.com/morriganfearn), our current Founder, will be giving the position of Founder to one of the current moderators (sorry, you
